ELDERS

The Elders provide overall leadership and spiritual oversight for the congregation. They work closely with the Lead Pastor to ensure accountability, evaluate budgets, ministry plans and assess the vision for the church. The Elders are to protect the doctrinal statement of the church. They are also responsible to feed and protect the congregation/attenders/flock (Acts 20:28).

My passion for the Wayzata Free Chinese ministry grows each year. To see people who may have never heard the name of Jesus become new believers is my way of living out our vision at Wayzata Free Church and the Great Commission.

Wayzata Free Church has grown into a model multi-generational worship and service fellowship which provides us with abundant opportunities to exercise our gifts and grow spiritually.

We've called Wayzata Free our church community since 2006. I am passionate about our church being a place where individuals and families can grow in their understanding and application of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

I love the heart of Wayzata Free Church: serving our community in the name of Christ. From involvement in young men’s lives to serving our community or in times of crisis, to meeting people with their basic needs; in all these ways we can show Christ’s love.

Profound changes are shaking up our world globally and locally, both demographically and spiritually. I feel called to learn how, in the midst of these changes, our church can help tackle the most important problems facing our people, our communities and our world; lift up our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ; and faithfully build God’s Kingdom through the inspired Word, the eternal Gospel and the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20).

Jesus loved the church, gave himself up for her, and continues to care for her (Ephesians 5).  I serve as an Elder because I want to value the same things Jesus values. I am passionate about uniting with other Christ followers to learn from God's Word, to encourage and support one another in prayer, and to equip one another to serve our community with love and share the good news of Jesus Christ.

I have been blessed to be part of the Wayzata Free community for the past 30 years.  As an Elder, my prayer is that our church is a place where people of all ages come to know Jesus Christ, grow in their faith and share Christ with the people God brings into their daily lives.  I praise God for the many opportunities we have to serve Christ at Wayzata Free.
