“All Things New” by Kelly Minter

The city of ancient Corinth was much like modern-day cities: a melting pot of cultural experiences along with the pitfalls of spiritual depravity. Still, Paul wrote to the Church of God in Corinth – meaning God’s Church is meant to thrive in any city and every circumstance in which we find ourselves. Kelly Minter will lead us through the Letter of 2 Corinthians exploring the anchoring truths and meeting Christ.

“Messiah”, Immerse: The Bible Reading Experience by Tyndale

Immerse: Messiah is the first of six volumes in Immerse: The Bible Reading Experience. Messiah takes the reader on a unique journey through every book of the New Testament. Each section of Messiah begins with one of the Gospels, and together they combine to provide a life-changing

reading experience centered on Jesus. This fresh arrangement of the books highlights the depth of the New Testament’s fourfold witness to Jesus the Messiah. The Son of God, who fulfills all the longings and promises of the collected Scriptures, can be experienced in Messiah through the rich variety of lenses provided by the books of the new covenant.

IF: Gathering 2019 | women

February 8 | 6:30-9:30 pm

February 9 | 9:30 am-5:30 pm

Join us for IF:Gathering 2019, a powerful virtual conference for women featuring world renowned speakers. During IF:Gathering we are going to dive into the book of Proverbs. Proverbs doesn't give us a set of rules, but a different way to live that is attractive and inviting to those around us. What does it look like to follow God and live out this faith in our relationships, at our jobs, in conflict, in suffering and with money? Solomon's timeless wisdom and instruction can be lived out in the practical things we do and the decisions that we make in our everyday lives.

Snacks, beverages and a box lunch on Saturday will be provided.

For questions or to inquire about available scholarships contact if@wayzatafree.org.

Winter Retreat

March 1-3, 2019 | Whitefish Lodge - Cross Lake, MN | Theme: Wonder | click here to register

Have you ever found yourself asking, “Where’s the wonder in life?”? Whether you are wandering in the wilderness, feel deserted in the desert, working through the daily stuff of life or waiting on God for what’s next, there is an opportunity to experience God right now. Yes! Wonder can be found in the midst of waiting, wandering, wanting or just your daily walk.

Invite your friends (college-age women and up) and join us as we explore the topic of experiencing “Wonder.” Our speaker is none other than the “Wonder Woman” herself, Shelley McKendry. We had an overwhelming number of requests to bring back this dear friend and gifted speaker.

Shelley and her husband Steve recently moved from Minnesota to Arizona. She is looking forward to reconnecting with the women of Wayzata Free and sharing her recent desert experiences, literally.

In addition to Shelley’s inspirational teaching, you’ll enjoy large and small group time, worship, quiet times, fun, fellowship and ample free time in a lovely, NEW retreat setting. This year we will gather in Cross Lake, MN at the beautiful Whitefish Lodge. This newer venue offers cozy lodging and meeting spaces and some different options for free time. Whether you want to curl up with a good book by the fire in the lodge, get outdoors for a walk, cross country ski, snowshoe, grab a friend and make a craft, get your game on, explore the local galleries and shops, go for a dip in the pool, relax in the hot tub or take a nap, you will find there are plenty of ways to unwind, connect and grow on this girls’ get away weekend.

We are offering “choice time” so you can create your own retreat experience. This modular format will give you options to select just what you need, like:

+  extra quiet time or worship

+  join a story application session

  +  learn a skill

  +  do a craft

  +  cross country ski

  +  spend time in prayer

  +  relax

  +  do a stretch/fitness class
