High School

High School is a great time of discovery, discovery of who you are and who God created you to be! Our desire is to provide a place where students can be authentic, encouraged and challenged in their faith.

Caroling at Cornerstone

December 9 | 6:30-8:00 pm

For youth group this evening we will be going caroling! Meet at the church and we will head to Cornerstone Assisted Living and sing with the residents. We will then linger for a while and have juice and cookies with the residents and hear their stories of Christmas past. This is a time to serve those in our community that can struggle with being alone during a time of year when family is so important. We will return to church at 8:00pm (please note the earlier end time this week).

Save The Date | February 15-18 | Winter Camp | Camp Shamineau

More details coming!

Sunday mornings

+ 9:00 am

Middle School and High School | Student Section, Balcony | Bekah and Bruce

We want students to be incorporated in the regular worship service at Wayzata Free as they grow into becoming adults by serving and attending worship. Sit with your family or join the student section in the balcony for worship.

High School | ENGAGE | Fellowship Hall | Bekah
As High School students we want you fully engaged in the life of the church. To this end, we would invite you to join Bekah to start the year in the adult class.

Sunday nights

+Youth Dinners | 6:00-6:30 pm | Fireside Room | Click here to serve

You may notice we are not doing donuts this year. With the creation of a cafe and the new Sunday morning service plan we wanted to pour our energy into creating that community space on Sunday nights. So, we are starting Youth Community Dinners. Parents, we need your help! Would you consider signing up to host a community dinner? We want to invite students to church early for a meal together before youth group starts. We can help with the money (if needed) and are asking you to create and host the meal for our students. We will setup the room and provide all the necessary paper products.

+Youth Group | 6:30-8:30 pm | Fellowship Hall | Click here to register

Middle School and High School Youth Group is a time where we focus on community building through games, worship and teaching with an emphasis on small groups. Bekah and Bruce and a team of excellent volunteer leaders love to build relationships with students and invest in their lives.

7:00-7:30 | worship time led by youth worship team (middle school and high school combined)
7:30-8:30 | teaching and small group time (middle school and high school separate, and small groups based on grade and gender)

Registering early for Youth group will help us prepare best for you to come.

Wednesday nights

IMMERSE Small Group | C-104 | 6:10-7:30pm | Bekah Elgard
IMMERSE is a small group designed for High School Students that want to dig deeper into the topics being taught during Wayzata’s Sunday Morning worship service. We want to come alongside High School students to help them engage in the adult service as they become adults themselves. One update this year is that most of the 1st Wednesday’s of each month we will be meeting at Caribou Coffee off County Road 101 instead of at church (Oct. 3, Nov.7, Dec. 5, Feb. 6, Apr. 3, May 1). Contact Bekah in advance if you will need help getting a ride there. No need to register for IMMERSE, just show up!

+ Youth Worship Team | C-103 | Shannon Bry

We have a vibrant youth worship team. Would you like to be a part of our team? Contact Shannon Bry to schedule an audition and find out how you can be a part of our worship team. We need: Tech help, singers, instrumentalist, prayer leaders, planners and others!
