Middle School

Middle school can be a great time of life. Especially when fun is combined with living for Christ. Our goal is to help students become followers of Christ, resulting in changed lives.

programming

Sunday mornings (beginning September 9)

+ 9:00 am

Middle School and High School | Student Section, Balcony | Bekah and Bruce

We want students to be incorporated in the regular worship service at Wayzata Free as they grow into becoming adults by serving and attending worship. Sit with your family or join the student section in the balcony for worship.

+ 10:30 am

Middle School | The FOUNDRY Year 1 | C-103 | Liz Moore | Click here to register

The FOUNDRY Year 1 is the first year of a two year class designed to move students to being fully engaged as participants in the church at large. We will learn, laugh and grow as a group as we engage in topics like theology - what is it and why do I care? What is my role in the church? Why do we do that? We will also go cover to cover through the Bible, studying the history, meaning and reasoning behind the books of the Bible. For more information, contact Bruce. The FOUNDRY class is designed so that students can take year 1 or year 2 first depending on what times work best with your schedule.

Middle School and High School | Serve in Club Corps | Various | Sara Galligan
Club Corps is a group open to 6th-12th graders who have a heart for serving and a desire to develop their leadership skills while connecting with other students. Club Corps members can serve on Sunday Mornings, Wednesday nights or both during the school year. This year we will meet seasonally (4 times) as a team for training and community building (aka our epic after-Christmas party). Email Sara for an application to be a part of the team and to see a list of all the ways you can get involved this year!

Sunday nights (beginning September 9)

+Youth Dinners | 6:00-6:30 pm | Fireside Room | Click here to serve

You may notice we are not doing donuts this year. With the creation of a cafe and the new Sunday morning service plan we wanted to pour our energy into creating that community space on Sunday nights. So, we are starting Youth Community Dinners. Parents, we need your help! Would you consider signing up to host a community dinner? We want to invite students to church early for a meal together before youth group starts. We can help with the money (if needed) and are asking you to create and host the meal for our students. We will setup the room and provide all the necessary paper products.

+Youth Group | 6:30-8:30 pm | Fellowship Hall | Click here to register

Middle School and High School Youth Group is a time where we focus on community building through games, worship and teaching with an emphasis on small groups. Bekah and Bruce and a team of excellent volunteer leaders love to build relationships with students and invest in their lives.

6:30-7:00 | games (middle school and high school separate)
7:00-7:30 | worship time led by youth worship team (middle school and high school combined)
7:30-8:30 | teaching and small group time (middle school and high school separate, and small groups based on grade and gender)

Registering early for Youth group will help us prepare best for you to come.

Wednesday nights (beginning September 19)

+ 6:30 pm | Middle School | The FOUNDRY Year 2 | C-109 | Bruce Droogsma | Click here to register

The FOUNDRY Year 2 is the second year of a two year class designed to move students to being fully engaged as participants in the church at large.
