+ Serving in Schools

We are invited to partner with Wayzata and Orono Schools to serve the West Metro. Volunteers are needed immediately to serve in local elementary school literacy programs. Help a child learn to love to read; there is no teaching involved. Other opportunities to serve are available. Meet the various school district volunteer coordinators at the Serve Expo (see below).

+ Devotions for Seniors

Cherrywood Point of Minnetonka (a senior living community) has asked for volunteers to take turns leading devotional times on Tuesdays and/or Thursdays from 11:15 am-12:00 pm in the community room at their new building near Ridgedale Mall.  Volunteers can share from God’s Word, facilitate discussion and/or lead music and prayer. The residents asked for this time and Wayzata Free was recommended to the Life Enrichment Director at the community.

Our vision for Wayzata Free Church is: Imagine a church that does whatever it takes to serve the West Metro in the name of Christ. As a church, we want to be known for our extraordinary generosity, with both our time and money, toward those in our local community. We want to express Jesus' love for the people around us.

We are excited about our upcoming city-wide Serve Expo. Join us as we hear from speakers in both large group and breakout sessions. The day includes an expo where various organizations will share what God is doing in our community and how we can serve alongside them. A light breakfast and snack are provided.
