The Elders provide overall leadership and spiritual oversight for the congregation. They work closely with the Lead Pastor to ensure accountability, evaluate budgets, ministry plans and assess the vision for the church. The Elders are to protect the doctrinal statement of the church. They are also responsible to feed and protect the congregation/attenders/flock (Acts 20:28).
Wayzata Free Church has grown into a model multi-generational worship and service fellowship which provides us with abundant opportunities to exercise our gifts and grow spiritually.
I love the heart of Wayzata Free Church: serving our community in the name of Christ. From involvement in young men’s lives to serving our community or in times of crisis, to meeting people with their basic needs; in all these ways we can show Christ’s love.
I am passionate about evangelism and have been affirmed by others to use my spiritual gifts of leadership and communication. You will see me frequently in the drum cage on Sunday mornings, but I have also served as a small group leader in the high school group and on a task force focusing on church communications.
We've called Wayzata Free our church community since 2006. I am passionate about our church being a place where individuals and families can grow in their understanding and application of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
