K-5 Coordinator

Kids’ Ministry Coordinator – Nursery & Expecting Parents

  • Kevin Meyer

    Lead Pastor

Passion, determination and a hunger to see God’s Spirit move and fill His Church is what I’m about. I love seeing people fall in love with Jesus, and then follow Him with all their heart. Leading, teaching and meeting with individuals, in small groups or in larger venues, is life giving. My wife, Grace, and I enjoy the gift of living on a small hobby farm and treasure time with family.

  • Andrea Berens

    Preschool & Administration

Ever since I was young, I have loved sharing the truths about Jesus and felt a calling to work with kids of all ages! I feel privileged to be able to come alongside our families and teach our kids about who God is and how much Jesus loves them.

  • Garrett Berkley

Director of Connecting and Young Adult Ministry

Because of my background in international missions, I love that I get to be part of supporting other missionaries. I'm also excited to lead the Young Adult Ministry at Wayzata Free because I want to see that every generation has an engaging and welcoming place to worship Jesus.

  • Taylor Bongard

    Worship Pastor

Ever since I started playing saxophone in 5th grade, I knew I wanted to be a rockstar. And while I'm only considered a rockstar by my nieces and nephews, I am humbled and grateful to help others experience the incredible love of God through music - the universal language God designed to bring us closer together. When I'm not strumming the ole' guitar or drinking coffee, you can find me on the pickleball court.

  • Kari Boyce

    Executive Director

Over the years, I've had many roles in business and churches. God has used what I've learned in each one to prepare me for the next. I am passionate about mentoring and being mentored. I've been in the Free Church nearly all my life and have felt at home here since the first time my husband, Dave, and I visited. We love being in the sun - on the water in the summer and snowshoeing or playing ice croquet (yes, it is a thing) in the winter.

  • Mike Brinkman

    Operations Pastor

I have a passion for how God has wired and gifted people and how each person fits into a group of people we call the church family. My goal is to encourage people to live fully in the place they are at and put themselves in a position to be touched by God. That is when life gets exciting.

  • Luke Brodeur

    Executive Pastor

I'm a "church kid" turned church leader. My faith is a direct result of God working through a faithful family and a local church, and he has called me to pay it forward by leading, building relationships, and teaching. If I'm not at home with my wife, Hilary, and our two awesome sons,

you will probably catch me battling on a tennis court or getting sucked into a great movie.

  • Bruce Droogsma

Pastor of Community and Spiritual Formation

I love seeing people take their next step in their faith walk and want to see our entire church grow together spiritually. Whether you are attending worship for the first time, need help getting plugged into a small group, or are looking to engage in challenging topics of faith, I would love to help you take your next step.

  • Devon Eklund

    Facilities Manager

I have always enjoyed fixing things and spent most of my early career as a contractor. I have applied those skills to managing the facility at Wayzata Free and there is always a new challenge. The building is a space for people to worship, and I am passionate about working with a team to make the building a place that is clean, safe and allows people to worship and meet together.

  • Lilli Ellis

    Associate Worship Director

Hi, I'm Lilli, and I'm so happy to be here. When I'm not leading worship at church, you can usually find me spending time with my pals, diving into a good book, or spending time with my husband Korey! Coffee is the way to my heart, and I can't wait to enjoy a cup of it with you.

  • Andrea Hebeisen

Pastor of Prayer and Worship Programming

I desire to lead our church family to center on Jesus through intimacy in prayer and lavish worship. Jesus calls us to unity in our diversity, and I love to see the church come together as one body. Young, old and everything in between, we all have something to bring.

  • tina hoversten

    Giving Coordinator

I believe everyone is uniquely created and called by God to see, love and serve others. Often this comes in the form of financial giving. It is a privilege to see first-hand how God is at work in all areas of ministry, through the generosity of others.

  • Beth Moorhead

    Counseling & Prayer

I love meeting people and enjoy hearing their stories, encouraging them in their faith, and watching them grow. My goal is to help people encounter God, so they can
experience healing and abundant life in their individual lives and interpersonal relationships.

  • Cherie Pedersen

Every time I answer the phone or encounter someone who comes to the front desk, I am given the opportunity to be a link in the chain of serving at Wayzata Free Church. It is a privilege to make these connections and help people.

  • Bekah REDMANN

    Student Ministries Pastor

God has placed a deep passion in me to serve, teach and pastor youth. My heart is to provide a place where students can be authentic, encouraged and challenged in their faith.

  • Dee Sandberg

    Caring Ministries

As a longtime staff member, I continue to use my gifts to care for the Wayzata Free congregation. Whether it be our older generation or young families, Jesus calls us to care for others.

    Worship Producer

I have always known I have been called to serve in the local church. I am excited to use my gifts and skills to help with the Worship Services here at Wayzata Free. When I am not serving here, I am more than likely either studying for seminary, going for a long run, or playing a board game.

    Chinese Outreach Director

I am passionate about sharing God's love with foreign students who work hard to get their education and cross-cultural experiences in Minnesota. It is a joy to spend time in the Word with students and witness His amazing grace change lives.

  • joey weeks

Throughout my experience working at Camp Shamineau, I focused on hospitality and guest services. I am excited to be using these skills to support the wide variety of individuals and groups using the Wayzata Free facility. I enjoy being able to relieve stress (from room set-ups to technology questions) to help groups move forward.

  • Sharon Williamson

    Faith Community Nurse

As a registered nurse for many years, I have been blessed to see life enter this world and leave this world and many health issues in between. The Lord has allowed me to use my talents and passions to be the Faith Community Nurse at Wayzata Free Church. Bridging faith and health with those I visit and talk with has been a wonderful experience.
